This morning, on the 25 April 1828, many pro-federalist pamphlets are found all around the city of Guayaquil in Ecuador. I have taken a copy for your reference.

Guayaquil stands with the federalist cause!
With the fate of Colombia currently being debated in the Convention of Ocana, news of the federalist and centralist agendas has reached the city of Guayaquil. We draw attention to the fact that Guayaquil was briefly independent from 1820 to 1822 as the Free Province of Guayaquil, where we enjoyed a great deal of liberty and prosperity. The people of Guayaquil deeply regret the deteriorating situation in Ecuador over the past few years, that have damaged our economy, our people, and our confidence in the central government.
We demand:
- Compartmentalization of taxes by geographic regions;
- Ability to create own laws and regulations;
- Regional assemblies for passing laws;
- Representative democracies elected by the people;
- Raise and manage our own armies;
- Complete dissolution of centralized funding.
These are our six demands, not one less.
IF Federalist demands are not met in Ocana, we will be left with no choice but to succeed from the Republic of Colombia. Just like we have done so in 1820. Just like we have done so in 1827.
