[Report from Local Sheriff of Angostura]
Dear Governors,
There have been a rampant increase of pillaging and banditry in the Orinoco Region along the trails of the various towns, specifically to and from Angostura for Moitaco and El Pao. They have mostly been targeting farmers and merchants attempting to travel to the capital to sell their goods. Though the guards of various convoys have successfully staved off various attempts, it has, nonetheless, caused fear among the locals deterring them from trading and travelling, causing local prices to rise.
From our previous engagements, it seems that their equipment isn't of high quality with rusted guns and tattered armors. We don't know the precise locations of their bases but we have witnessed their retreat to the south of the province along the mountainous areas near Mount Roraima.
Calls for Venezualan military forces to act have been growing among the citizens. While merchants and farmers have focused on closer guarding of the main trading routes, there are petitions to remove the roots of the problem by sending out a force to exterminate their bases. Please act accordingly to the information and inform us of the extent and plans that you have decided. As their location is near the trading route, please respond urgently.
Your Humble Servant,
Jose Rodriguez, Sheriff of Angostura
